Laws of the Game

Here you will find links to the full resources that cover the Laws of the Game for senior law, U19 rugby in Australia, and Kids Rugby.

In 2009, the ARU have decided that all levels of rugby played in Australia will trial the Experimantal Law Variation (ELVs) that are being played in the Super 14 and Tri-Nations. This means we will have one uniform game across Australia in 2009.

ARU document outlining how the game is to be played at all levels of rugby, with directives for both referees and coaches. Also includes ELVs and clarifications of how they are to be interpreted.


2009 U19 Law Variation Australia (PDF 518kb)

Contains all Law Variations to U19 rugby unique to Australia. To be read in conjunction with the IRB's U19 Law Variations, which can be found in the full Law Book.
