Stingrays run into form Eagles

By

After a close loss last week against the Bulldogs the job doesn’t get any easier for the injury ravaged Stingrays as they head to Norths to take on the Eagles this Saturday.  Traditionally the Norths game is one the Stingrays look forward to in the calendar with the Sunshine Coast boys racking up more wins againt their nearest rival than any other premier side.  This year, however, the Stingrays are running into a form side after Norths backed up their impressive win over Brothers in round 12 with a fifty-point haul against the Gold Coast last week as Varesa Vuki claimed his seventh try for the season.

The Eagles scored a 37-21 victory over the Stingrays in round five and will be favourites to replicate their performance on Saturday at Hugh Courtney Oval.

The Stingrays will field a similar side to last week with the addition of Jay Forrester from Caboolture coming onto the bench.  Forrester has been blitzing the Wartung Premiership this year and managed a try on debut for teh Stingrays with his first touch earlier this season.

Kick off is 3:15pm at Wooloowin!
