Another month has come and gone, but rugby on the Coast is only just starting to warm up.
The Primary School Under 12s has just finished their 3rd week of competition. There are 18 schools from across the Coast playing at 5 different venues, all this extra practice will come in very handy leading into the Sunshine Coast All Schools and more importantly the District and Regional trials next term.
After eight weeks of competition the Juniors have 2 rounds left before a well-earned break over the school holidays. However, for some, due to the commencement of Junior Stingray trials and then training, there break from rugby is going to have to wait. To all those boys pushing for a spot in their respective teams, best of luck and be sure to put your best foot forward.
QRUs after school program “Rookies to Reds” is still in full swing, with numbers of participants growing across the state. There is currently one centre running at Caloundra rugby union with another two new centres planned for Maroochydore Swans and Kawana Brothers. These will both kick off in the second week of next Term. For more information go to http://www.rookies2reds.com.au/
Unfortunately due low registrations the Level 1 accreditation day at Mathew Flinders Anglican College was cancelled. A new date is currently being organised for some time next term so stay tuned for updated details. In the meantime if you have any questions regarding accreditation please don’t hesitate to contact.
